CIC Connections

To bridge students with campus and community resources! This is a brief, drop-in, and confidential consultation with one of our CIC staff members to help you identify steps to improve your well-being, and connect you to on-campus and off-campus resources that help you thrive. Visits are first come, first serve and no appointment is necessary. Just stop by! This is not therapy and it is not designed for students needing urgent help.

  • Students facing specific issues (academic stress, relationship concern) wishing action steps to support change
  • Students who are interested in wellbeing services (e.g., therapy, assessments, testing, specialist care)  but don’t know where to start
  • Students wishing support with navigating barriers (financial, transportation, etc.) to access care and wellbeing resources.

CIC connections was inspired by Let's Talk, a collaborative program between the Center for Integrated Care and Counseling and Psychological Services. This program was based on the knowledge that traditional forms of mental health and wellness do not always meet the needs for all students and that healing often occurs in community spaces around campus. We wanted to develop close, trusting, non-clinical relationships with students, outside of the Health and Wellbeing Unit offices. Since then CIC connections has evolved to being a space where students can take quick action to improve their wellbeing, and find ways to bridge with resources for support.
