The Center for Integrated Care helps to support students in getting connected to the right resources so that they might be able to prioritize their health and wellness needs. Students are encouraged to meet with CIC staff to discuss their concerns, and more specifically, the barriers to accessing care. Together, CIC staff and students develop strategies to navigate these issues so that they are set up for optimal success, both short-term and long-term.
Who might benefit from Case Management Services:
- Students wishing to engage in a general wellness plan and need support identifying and accessing campus resources
- Students wishing to pursue longer-term mental health services in the community
- Students wishing to pursue specialized medical and wellness care needs in the community
- Students in need of discharge support from hospitalization stay
- Students returning to the university following leave (i.e. post withdrawal for extenuating circumstances, academic probation, etc.)
- Students that have experienced difficulties navigating barriers to access of health & wellness resources
Online Resources
The Center for Integrated Care maintains two awesome databases for community referrals, ShrinkSpace and ThrivingCampus. Both ShrinkSpace and Thriving Campus allow students to connect with off-campus providers by identifying their own specific needs and preferences. Referrals are customized and students can access the providers on their own, when they are ready to begin services.
Other campus partners are encouraging students to utilize these databases as well for more information about services in the community. Please let us walk you through how to use this awesome resource! Call us at (704) 687-1045 or make an appointment via our online scheduling options.
