The Center for Integrated Care (CIC) and Health and Wellbeing Unit (HWB) are committed to ensuring that all students are getting equitable access to care for their health and wellness, and that all students feel cared for and respected by our unit.
As we consider access and quality of health and wellness care for all students, research continuously notes disparities in college health based on marginalized identities, including (but not limited to) race and/or ethnicity, gender identity, sexual identity, disability status, etc. For this reason CIC has developed several committees that evaluate the overall wellbeing of students on campus, as well as what are the recommendations, strategies, and initiatives HWB can engage in to ensure the holistic wellbeing and access of care for every student on campus. These committees have been developed based on recommendations by student groups on campus, and you can find more information about each of them in the tabs to the left of the screen.
If you are a student who wishes to provide feedback about health and wellbeing needs around campus based on a community you belong to, or have questions around the taskforces please email integratedcare@charlotte.edu with the title “Wellbeing Committees.” We hope you find the information and resources in this page helpful.
